A one-off modern detached home in the sought-after area of Broadstairs, Kent.
Situated on a former croquet lawn, the design brief was to create a flexible and contemporary family home with future proofing in mind.
The road on which the site sits contains an eclectic set of larger houses close to Joss Bay, offering seaside activities and an active lifestyle. A collection of different sized cubes were configured to create an interplay of internal and external contained spaces, keeping a low profile to reduce the impact on the street scene. Black vertical larch was used to unify the mass to create a cohesive scheme.
