The proposed residential scheme is for 12 dwellings consisting of 2 detached houses, 6 semi-detached houses and 4 terraced houses of 3 or 4 bedrooms. The setting out of the 12 dwellings is influenced by the pattern of the surrounding settlement respecting the existing building line, heights, mass and frontage layout. The material is a red stock brick, weatherboarding in a composite cladding in a dark brown timber finish and pitched grey slate rooves. We have maintained simple building shapes with a restrained approach to decoration to avoid pastiche.
