This project incorporated the conversion of former offices into 9 contemporary apartments, together with the construction of new terraced houses and a cottage.
The design retains the existing frontage with the construction of new houses in the rear courtyard. Located within a Conservation Area, we also included the design for the reconstruction of a semi-detached house, and the recladding and conversion of the existing buildings to form apartments.
The completion of built frontage was made by including a new cottage and three terraced houses in the rear courtyard. Given the contemporary design, the architectural approach has been to avoid giving the building a historic appearance by using modern materials to complement and enhance the character of the Conservation Area.
