Centenary House

On Architecture are pleased to see the completion of their site Centenary House in Walthamstow, London. Appointed by Main Contractor Equans, on behalf of Sixty Bricks, the development arm of Waltham Forest Local Council, the ON team were appointed for both the planning and technical design stages of the project.

As lead designers we needed to collaborate with the wider design team to deliver a 45unit scheme inclusive of a mix of both private and affordable dwellings with a percentage being fully M4(3) Wheelchair accessible units.

Due to the tight nature of the site, located at the end of an existing close closely bounded by existing 2-storey dwellings to the front and a large industrial estate to the rear it was hugely important to provide a scheme that delivered efficient design to achieve the brief within the extent of constraints that a site such as this provides.

As always, our job was made easier by the fantastic support of our client and our trusted partners on this project; Equans: Main Contractor, Sixty Bricks: Client, RSK LDE Ltd: Structural and Civil Engineers, IDP Landscape: Landscape Architect.
