The architectural forms draw inspiration from the distinctive character of the Kent coastline, reinterpreting the familiar beach hut vernacular through a series of bold, contemporary volumes. Clean geometric forms, generous roof terraces and large-format openings create a strong relationship between the internal living spaces and the surrounding landscape, allowing panoramic views across the sea and encouraging year-round engagement with the seafront environment.
Constructed using a carefully curated palette of textured brickwork, standing seam metal cladding and aluminium framed glazing, the homes balance robustness with a refined architectural expression suited to the exposed maritime setting. Subtle variations in the coloured cladding give each dwelling its own identity, while shared detailing and proportions ensure a cohesive streetscape that reflects the playful character of the coast.
Designed around contemporary coastal living, each home incorporates covered parking, generous storage and flexible open-plan accommodation arranged to maximise views and natural light. The completed development delivers a distinctive collection of beach houses that respond thoughtfully to their context, to create a memorable landmark on the Greatstone seafront.
