Kent Manor House receives planning approval

We are thrilled to announce we recently received planning approval for leisure facilities within the grounds of a stunning Grade 2 Listed Dutch-gabled Manor House.

The scheme incorporates a swimming pool, tennis court, changing and gym facilities as part of the refurbishment of the former stables. We worked closely with landscape architects Farlam and Chandler which allowed us to propose a truly unique scheme for the client. The pool garden pergola and wall has been designed to maximise views across the estate, whilst respecting the character of the main dwelling house.

The wall around the pool garden allows for the enclosure of this area for safety, to accommodate a family with young children.  The stables refurbishment is modest and understated, utilising the existing openings where possible and focusing on high quality detailing and design. Skylights and openings with spaced timbers have been proposed across the southern edge of the building to allow for natural light whilst providing privacy for users.

It was a pleasure working with both the landscape architects and the client on this fantastic scheme, and we look forward to hopefully see it come to fruition.
