Vacant for several years, the site presents an opportunity to bring new life to a prominent town centre location while building upon an important part of Ashford’s civic legacy.
Reimagining a Civic Landmark
The scheme centres on the adaptive reuse of the existing structures, retaining and repurposing significant elements of the site while introducing contemporary residential uses.
Through a combination of refurbishment and carefully integrated interventions, the design seeks to extend the life of existing assets and support the continued evolution of Ashford town centre.
Connecting People and Place
Positioned between Ashford International Station, North Park and the town centre, the site occupies a key location within the wider urban landscape.
Landscape and public realm improvements will create a more welcoming environment, enhancing pedestrian movement and strengthening connections between surrounding neighbourhoods, green spaces and transport hubs.
Living Within the Existing Fabric
Rather than replacing what already exists, the project explores the potential of working with and adapting the inherited built environment.
By reusing existing structures and introducing new homes within a well-connected town centre setting, the scheme demonstrates how regeneration can deliver both environmental and social value.
