Who we are
On Architecture are a multi-award winning design practice with extensive experience in architecture, planning and property. We operate from Canterbury, Kent and work on projects across the UK; which include retail, commercial, residential, hospitality, education, and range in construction value up to £100m. From the outset, the Practice has established a reputation for exemplar design and consistently high standards of service. We are a 40 strong team of hard-working and talented design professionals, founded in 2013 by David Weir and Luke Harrison.
What and how
On Architecture understands the commercial realities that come with projects and our aim as Architects is to work within the project specific parameters and to maximise value through high quality and innovative design solutions for both the client and end users.

Where
Our office is based in Canterbury, Kent. Our studio and working environment reflect our ethos as designers and architects; they are thoughtfully designed, open plan, collaborative and encourage design critiques and discussions.
Our ethos
On Architecture works across a broad range of sectors and developments, from large scale master planning, to bespoke small scale projects with personal and considered requirements. We embody a holistic approach to architecture and design, where our clients are at the core of the design process, ensuring that their vision and aspirations are met.
We believe placemaking is the foundation of successful architecture, where public realm and building work together to create sustainable communities. This ethos is implemented in all of our projects and is what sets us apart from the rest.
Our diverse and talented team of architects, designers and technologists adopt a forward thinking approach, where we focus on research and development, adopting new technologies such as BIM as part of our work flows, in addition to testing designs through 3D and physical model making.
We encourage education and learning through offering mentoring and apprenticeship schemes, weekly CPDs, work experience and summer placements. We are also proud sponsors and supporters of our local Universities, the University of Kent and UCA in Canterbury. We feel that sharing and bringing knowledge into the practice is crucial to the professional development of our team.
As a socially active company, we encourage and provide networking opportunities for all our staff members to integrate into the design and construction industry.
